Purpose
Builds fast inside scoring and exit.
Setup
- Pair boxers as A and B
- Start at technical pace, complete the sequence, reset, then swap roles
Run it
- A steps in with lead uppercut, rear uppercut, left hook, then pivots out
- B catches lightly
- Reset, check shape, then repeat
Coach checks
Punches are short. Exit is mandatory. Check the purpose: builds fast inside scoring and exit.
Scale it
Coach calls finish: hook or jab out.
Common faults
- Rushing the drill
- overreaching
- standing still after punching
- or trying to win the drill instead of learning the skill
Amateur relevance
Clean visible contact, immediate answer after defence, and a composed exit help the boxer look in control.
Use it
Use only after the base movement is reliable. Add choice, rhythm breaks or round pressure carefully.
