Defence then feet. Do not pivot blind. Check the purpose: teaches the boxer to change position after defending.
Scale it
Add B right hand after pivot.
Common faults
- Rushing the drill
- overreaching
- standing still after punching
- or trying to win the drill instead of learning the skill
Amateur relevance
Clean visible contact, immediate answer after defence, and a composed exit help the boxer look in control.
Use it
Run at rhythm pace first, then add one layer: speed, movement, counter, exit or coach call.
